The Kerrytown Book Festival is coming up in September.

I am sad to disover that , yet again, the Sleo/Shevel fairy door has been damaged. UGH.

I have received e-mails and pics of other fairy doors popping up here and there.

I am also bummed to report that The Ann Arbor Framing Company closed it doors. Lori ran such a great frame shop and was a wonderful host to the urban fairie sthere. I imagine they may follow her where ever she goes!

On the bright side, The Arcadian Antiques is moving into the space on Main Street. I would not be surprised if there are some lingering urban fairies, just waiting to move back in.
It's hard to anticipate what a fairy might do!

Yet again, I am amazed and disappointed in people. The fairy door at Selo/Shevel has been FURTHER damaged.

AND.... though we are on vacation up North [
to those not from Michigan... "Up North" is pretty much any place that is at a higher latitude than oh... say Lansing...and any city or campground on the West coast (Lake Michigan)] we got a phone call from Red Shoes, were the fairy door was smashed off its hinges.

Luckily the urban fairiesare more patient than I am. I suspect they will rebuild. And soemone was kind enough to locate a couple of the broken pieces.
Damage on 7.28.08
Additional damage one week later on 8.04.08, pointed out by a helpful fairy dropping kitty.

The urban fairies at Selo/Shevel have made repairs. Perhaps they were appeased by the HEAPS of jelly beans that were left at their door step. Though the candy seemed a bit less appealling after the rain and ants!

The Red Shoes urban fairies have also been busy, but still need to do some touch up.

I have not been to the public library in quite a while. Frankly, I am a bit aprhensive after recieving yet anither e-mail report of the damage there.

I hope that they can catch up with repairs and regain confidence to expand.

I apologized for not keeping up with the migrations of businesses and urban fairies. The Ann Arbor Framing Company has closed and the urban fairy door has vanished. I will update the tour map as soon as I am able.

There is a new business, Arcadian Antiques, moving into the space. I hope the urban fairies find it hospitable and chose to rebuild there.
