In 2005 I owned a metaphysical store in Toledo, Ohio. During a discussion .... about... fairies ... my daughter, who was 16 at the time, had been amusing herself by taking pictures of herself with her digital camera. It was at that time, that she captured this picture of what surely appears to be a fairy!

Today, I experienced 1st hand a similar situation as a "woman" ran by the coffee shop as I sat inside. My view was partially obscured by people at another table, but as she ran by a piece of bright green, splotchy (tie dyed?) cloth fluttered behind her shoulders (a t-shirt or scarf?) but it appeared like wings and she ran smoothly and swiftly as if her feet did not touch the ground. I couldn't see her feet, so.... perhaps they did not.

I THINK she was wearing sunglasses.

At the FairyCon (yes, there are such things) in Pennsylvania a few years back, I heard a panel, which included: Holly Black,Wendy Froud, Joseph Corsentino and Delia Sherman, who are all big shots in the world of Fey.

There was some talk of the concept of fairies who walk amongst us... looking overtly human, but with something...just a bit magical. Delia described an instance of this, which she called an "urban fairy encounter". I could visualize it and drew a quick sketch.

Walking along South Ashley Street in Ann Arbor I noted that a door to the dungeons was left open!
