Voilà

Voilà is an "ooola-la" boutique on Main Street. I just recently found a fairy door in the base of a column there. The fairies do gravitate towards fashionable, fun and sparkley things.

The golden column with a fairy door in the base. I suppose the column is like an elevator shaft or conduit to some other location.
A closer look at the door in the column.

I had to borrow a ladder to get a closer picture. Though one window was open I did not see anyone inside.

Today (5.04.06)

I stopped by Voilà
And I happened to look up and see a window that I had not noticed last time. I checked my first photos and did not see any sign of it.

On August 10, 2006 I heard about a child.... no doubt a Dickensonian orphan... who had kicked in the fairy door at Voilà. Later that day I was able to get over there and take some photos. The owner had put up a sign to cover the damage. I peeled it back to see to assess the situation and perehaps see the interior....>
I heard a startling noise and quickly covered up the hole again. I never got a good look inside.

I suspect that the fairies are not at all happy about this.

From what I have heard about their sharpy teeth, I wouldn't venture my finger or toes anywhere near an angry fairy.

Looks like it is repaired!
Apparently Voilà will be closing.
I wonder how that will affect the urban fairies there.
