I've been working on a fairy illustration to appear on a special mug for Generations Together. It is a kind of Field Hopper Fairy. A Field of Dreams Hopper Fairy. Hopefully I can get them produced soon. Coming up for the month of May 2011 I will be showing work* at Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea This should be fun. *Not all fairy related, but there should be some.

There have been a couple items in the news > An Article in the Washtenaw Voice. A blog post on Laughing Squid. The Laughing Squid post was preceded by an interesting article about a fellow (Jeff Waldman) in San Fransisco who got it into his head to construct and install miniature doors around San Fransisco and perhaps beyond. Future doors will be made by other artists who will send them to Jeff for installation.

I did a bit of work to clean up the web-site. As I went I added the "fly away HOME" logo to the tops and bottoms of the pages to help with navigation. By clicking on the logo, you are taken to the Home page, the brick wall with the navigation doors at the bottom.

This is where it (fairy doors) all began — the concept, the phenomenon. This site is all about the Fairy Doors in Ann Arbor, Michigan (the original fairy doors) and what illustrator, Jonathan b. Jonathan is currently writing several books on the fairies in collaboration with his wife, Kathleen, who coincidentally has found a fairy door in her kindergarten classroom. Hopefully it will be fun and informative to come back and see what's new with the Urban Fairies of Ann Arbor.
